Dual Language Secondary Program Leader
Hired from Barcelona to implement a Dual Language Program at Chief Sealth, IHS, Seattle PUblic Schools. Since then, the program has being increasing and showed multiple benefits for Latinx students including college credits from 9th grade, inclusion in an International Baccalaureate Program, and the possibility for students to obtain the State Seal of Biliteracy. Co presenter of a session at CARLA Conference October 2016 (Minneapolis); and at WABE Conference, January 2018 (Vancouver, Washington). National Board Certified Teacher in 2018. Rewarded as 'Teacher of the month' in October 2020 by World Affairs Seattle, currently serving as Spanish Lead Instructor for the newly funded Grant from OSPI for the Global Competence Certificate for Heritage Language Speakers.

The students will provide their experience and perspective of being part of a Dual Language Program at High School Level. A 2018 graduated student will also share his vision from the distance
