2016 Indiana CLTA-IN Chinese Teacher of the Year

Chunmei Guan has about 30 years teaching experiences in both English and Chinese language and culture in the diverse settings in China and the U.S. She is currently a mandarin Chinese Teacher at Logansport High School, Logansport, IN. She received her MA Degree in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Jilin University and BA Degree in English Language and Literature from Jilin Normal University, Jilin Province, China. She is the First Vice-President of IFLTA, 2021 Conference Chair of IFLTA, the member of ACTFL, CLASS and CLTA-US. Board Member of ASSCE, Associate Member of NCSSFL, CLTA-US SIG K12 Group Leader, Past President of CLTA-IN. She received the PD Award by IN-NELL in 2019, Chinese Teacher of the Year Award by CLTA-IN at IFLTA annual conference in 2016, Outstanding Contribution Award by CLTA-IN in 2016, Excellent Chinese Guest Teacher Award by Hanban and the College Board in 2009.
