Tom Beeman has been teaching high school Spanish on-line for the past eleven years. He has been active in various professional development organizations where he has presented at conferences. He has also published multiple articles on language teaching as well as co-authored a non-fiction book about Latino youth in the United States.

Engaging Students In Online Teaching

With distance education becoming increasingly popular, and a necessity during this pandemic, engaging students can be challenging when when we're not in the same room with them. This session will present ideas, feedback from veteran on-line teachers, and responses from students themselves as to how to engage students and how to maintain it throughout the duration of the course.
