UAB is first university in Alabama to award Global Seal of Biliteracy
The University of Alabama at Birmingham is the first university in Alabama to award the Global Seal of Biliteracy, a national-level proficiency credential. Students must take the Avant Standards-based Measurement of Proficiency assessment to qualify for a Global Seal of Biliteracy certificate, which has two levels: functional and working. Williamsport's Dayley honored as Md. Foreign Language Teacher of the Year
WILLIAMSPORT — Williamsport High School Spanish teacher Rachel Dayley has been honored by the Maryland Foreign Language Association by being named its 2020 Language Teacher of the Year. Dayley has been a teacher in Washington County Public Schools for nine years, and is the fourth language teacher in the county to win in the past seven years, a WCPS news release states.
