Juana Derdoy
Ladue chapter’s Junior President
Juana Derdoy serves as the Ladue chapter’s Junior President. Outside of Spanish Honor Society, she is involved with theatre and is a Missouri State Thespian Officer. Additionally, she is a member of the a capella group Viva Voce and plays guitar. Juana is a junior in High School and currently enrolled in AP Spanish Literature and Culture. She has been studying Spanish in school since freshman year.

The 6 Spanish students of Los carneros de Ladue chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica discuss their language learning experiences in and beyond the classroom. The session is moderated by Spanish teacher and chapter sponsor Maritza Sloan who also is the current President-Elect of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP). The students represent Ladue Horton Watkins high school, St. Louis, MO.
