Claudia Muñoz Cano

Spanish Department Coordinator UNAM-Chicago

Claudia Muñoz Cano is a language educator with over ten years of experience teaching Spanish and English in Mexico and the United States. She holds a master’s degree in Linguistic Studies from Syracuse University, with a concentration in TESOL, and a Diploma on Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She is the Coordinator of the Spanish Department at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) at its Chicago campus. Her teaching experience includes the development of training workshops for teachers of Spanish in Mexico and the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), and the development of the UNAM Chicago Spanish for Healthcare and Spanish as a Heritage Language programs.

Programas de español en la UNAM Chicago/Spanish language programs at UNAM Chicago

Una de las tareas sustantivas de la sede de la UNAM en Chicago es apoyar a la comunidad latina a través del fortalecimiento de sus habilidades de dominio de la lengua española. En esta sesión se presentarán los distintos programas que ofrece nuestra escuela. One of the main purposes of UNAM Chicago is to support the Latino community by strengthening their skills in mastering the Spanish language. In this session, we will present the different programs offered by our school.
