Going Above and Beyond: Interview with a Self-Empowered Language Learner

In this session, NCSSFL Past-President Ryan Wertz interviews empowered language learner Giovanni Moretta, a first-year college student and recent seal of biliteracy recipient, on the conditions and supports that are needed to build learner autonomy. Listen in on this dynamic conversation with a young person who clearly “gets” what it takes to achieve a level of proficiency and intercultural competency far beyond the expectations of the typical secondary language program. Benefit from his sage advice and keen insights as you consider how to transform students in your own setting into more independent, life-long learners.

This presentation will be available for on-demand viewing on December 2nd during Global CRED. Register for Global CRED below, it’s quick easy and free!
