Xiang Gao

University of Delaware Distinguished Professor of Music and Founding Director of Master Players Concert Series

Recognized as one of the world's most successful violinists and pedagogues, Xiang
Gao has solo performed for many world leaders and with 100 plus orchestras
worldwide. As the Trustees Distinguished Professor of Violin at the University of
Delaware and visiting professor of 4 major universities in China, Professor Gao has
also been a renowned performing art administrator since 1997. Hundreds of music
students from China and the U.S. annually attend the internationally acclaimed
Master Players Music Festival he founded in Delaware. (Mr. Gao is represented by
the California Artists Management)

Let's Communicate, through Language and Music

Xiang Gao and Alan Goodson will share with Shuhan Wang and the audience their work that incorporates language, literature, and music into concerts and musical theatre. They will talk about the Shanghai Sonatas and show how language, history, and music can be a unifying force.
