Honoring and Empowering Teachers with the Global Seal of Biliteracy

In this 30 minute session, the world language team at Washington County Public Schools in
Western Maryland will show how the district honored and recognized language teachers through the Global Seal of Biliteracy. Participants will explore how the Global Seal of Biliteracy was a professional development opportunity that empowered teachers in their language teaching and language learning journey. The supervisor of ESOL and World Languages will explain the steps and the process the district used to credential and celebrate teachers. Teachers will narrate how the experience influenced and impacted them professionally and personally.
