There are many factors contributing to inequity and inequality in U.S. Healthcare. While many of these factors are beyond a Healthcare provider’s control, eliminating language barriers is not. Access to on-demand language interpreting allows providers to treat ALL patients on equal terms, in-person and also via Telehealth. In addition to seeing language access as a critical tool for patient equity, the Healthcare community is now being educated on the direct relationship between clear caregiver<>patient communication (with language barriers) and positive Health outcomes. Jeenie will discuss how access to on-demand interpreting for caregiver conversations with Deaf and LEP patients IS now easier and less expensive than ever.
