Y-C.R.E.D. or Youth C.R.E.D. will be a free international online virtual one-day event on Thursday, October 14, 2021. "Y" C.R.E.D. is an event especially designed for "Youth" that will include opportunities for bilingual conversations with native speakers around the world, interactive learning activities, exciting live presentations, on-demand sessions and so much more. More importantly, it answers the question, "WHY" learn a language? High School language learners will hear from older university peer learners and career professionals on how language has positively impacted their lives. All teacher registrants will receive a FREE event Lesson Plan and pre-event planning ideas.

Live Sessions
Y-C.R.E.D. 2021 will host 6 different live streams of engaging short form content, each in a target language, so that your language learners can follow along in the language they are learning. Live streams will be offered in Chinese, English, French, German and Spanish with a shared stream for Slavic and Eastern European languages. Closed-captioning will be available.
On-Demand Sessions
Y-C.R.E.D. 2021 will offer short, pre-recorded content for language learners and educators that can facilitate flexible viewing for any class schedule. This year’s on-demand content will focus on three ways the Global Seal offers support: “Leveling Up” language skills, “Leveraging” language credentials, and “Linking” to future opportunities.
