Global Connect by Happy World Foundation

The Global Seal invited Akash Patel and Happy World Foundation to partner with us to offer a Y-C.R.E.D. Event to connect international language classrooms with a native speaker of the language they’re learning for a fun, engaging, and interactive 20-30 minute virtual conversation. Our #YCRED2021 goal was to connect 1,000 classrooms with speakers around the world.
Beginning in September, we started matching classrooms and guest speakers around the world for an exciting virtual visit to provide students an opportunity to use their language skills to interview and learn more about their “Mystery Guest” and their country.

We’re excited to announce that we met our goal to connect 1,000 classrooms!

Global Connect Day visits are still being scheduled and will continue through the end of October. For classrooms preparing to meet their native-speaker Mystery Guest, please use our Prep Kit and don’t forget to submit your official feedback and photo after your visit. We also encourage you to use the Press Release to share with your local media as an opportunity to showcase your school’s language program.
