Y-C.R.E.D. Credentialing and Recognizing Excellence and Determination is a FREE international language learner event that provides students with connections to native speakers, strategies to improve their skills, ways to leverage their bilingualism and links to future opportunities. Global Y-C.R.E.D.” is all about the “Y.” The “Y” represents “Youth,” but also answers the question, “WHY learn a language?”

Y-C.R.E.D. 2023 will offer short, pre-recorded On-Demand Content for language learners that facilitates flexible viewing for any class schedule. We will offer FOUR SESSION TRACKS:
LEVEL-UP your language skills
The goal for the “LEVEL-UP” track is to provide students with motivation as well as specific strategies to improve one or more of their language skills in order to reach a Seal of Biliteracy goal, or to level-up from one Global Seal certificate level to another.
LEVERAGE your bilingualism
Sessions in the “LEVERAGE” track provide students with inspiration and insight on how to leverage their language skills and their Seal of Biliteracy.
LINK to future opportunity
Our “LINK” track is all about the future. Students can learn about ways to use and grow their language skills while gaining experience through study abroad, internships, volunteer and work experiences.
LISTEN & LEARN from global classrooms
Our "LISTEN & LEARN" track is all about target-language input. Listen to students in classrooms around the world as they share their interests and culture in their native language.
Educators will have access to our Y-C.R.E.D. content from Monday, October 23 through Friday, November 10, 2023. This will allow you to participate with your students on a time that works best for your school schedule, whether it be a day, two days, or a full week.
All Y-C.R.E.D. 2023 content will be available ON-DEMAND for registered teachers and their classrooms so you and your students can participate on a day or days convenient to you, wherever you are, and whatever your time zone. Just like our past Global Y-C.R.E.D. events, we will provide you with lesson-planning ideas to maximize your participation.
Conference-in-a-Box
This year’s offerings include a “Conference-in-a-Box” option to create a bigger, more exciting event for your students and to provide you with an opportunity to draw the attention of administration and the media to your language department. Be sure to check "YES" on your event registration form to receive program information.
