Speaking/Listening Assessment

  • IVR Testing

    • IVR is an automated delivery system that allows you to test anywhere and is availible for select languages. (Arabic MSA, Arabic Iraqi, Arabic Levantine, Chinese (Cantonese), Chinese (Mandarin), Dari, Dutch, English, Farsi, French, French Canadian, German, Haitian Creole, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Samoan, Sinhala, Spanish, Tagalog, Tamil, Turkish, Vietnamese and Yoruba)

  • Live Testing

    • The live assessment must be scheduled in advance, most languages are available to be tested the following business day.


Writing Assessment

  • Administrated electronically or as a hard copy (where required) under proctored conditions.

Nationally & Internationally Recognized

The one or multiple forms of the ALTA language assessments are accepted by 11 state Seal of Biliteracy programs.


Accepted by the Global Seal of Biliteracy

Yes, the Global Seal of Biliteracy requires that you take the Speaking/Listening and Writing sections of the ALTA Assessment.

Functional Fluency Requirements: ILR Score of 1+ or higher.

Working Fluency Requirements: ILR Score of 2 or higher.

Given at schools or testing facility w/proctor or online proctored. Given at any scheduled time. Order in advance.
