The WIDA ACCESS Tests are comprised of 3 sections and take approximately 3 hours to complete.

Section I: Listening and Reading, 60 questions combined
Comprehension of spoken and written language in academic and social contexts, 60 minutes, 35% score
Listening: Understand spoken language, stories, and presentations
Reading: Comprehend written texts, articles, and academic content
Section II: Speaking, 30 questions
Production of spoken language in academic and social contexts, 30 minutes, 30% score
Speaking: Answer open-ended questions, narrate, and describe
Section III: Writing, 2 prompts
Production of written language in academic contexts, 45 minutes, 35% score
Prompt 1: Respond to a given situation by writing a few sentences
Prompt 2: Write an extended response based on a given topic or scenario

ACTFL Intermediate-Mid = WIDA Score of 4.5
ACTFL Advanced-Low = WIDA Score of 5.8
