Euskararen Gaitasun Agiria
The objective of the Euskararen Gaitasun Agiria exam is to certify that whoever passes it has level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference in Basque, both in their oral and written communications. A graduate who graduates in Basque from the University of the Basque Country will be issued a certificate exempting them from the C1 level certification, in accordance with Articles 6 and 2 of Basque Government Decree 47/2012 of 3 April.
Exam Overview:
The exam consists of three tests: initial test (entrance test or initial test), written test, and oral test.
Initial test: (Atariko Proba):
There are 85 multiple choice questions. The test includes items from different fields:
B (bases in oral language, 30 items)
C (léxicu, 10 items)
D (morphosyntax, 24 items)
Y (knowledge of unified Basque, 5 items)
F (comprehension of pots, 12 items)
G (dates, times, 4 items)
Written test: (Proba Idatzia):
This test examines two blocks: Comprehension and Expression. Each block consists of three exercises, which add up to a total of 50 points.
Comprehension:
Dialogue text (10 items, 5 points)
Lexicon (10 items, 5 points)
Written comprehension: two tanned tests and one unu estensu (10 items, 10 points)
Expression:
Extended edition (minimum 250 words, 10 points)
Courtesy redaction (minimum 150 words, 10 points)
Sentence rewriting (10 structures, 10 points)
Oral test: (Ahozko Proba):
This test will consist of two parts: Oral Comprehension and Expression Test.
Oral comprehension:
Audiovisual recordings (minimum 20 items, 10 points)
Expression Test:
Long text (popular publications), for presentation within 5 minutes. 20 minutes to prepare the mesmu. 20 points.
Conversation. Candidates bid on a topic proposed by the court for 10 minutes. 20 points.

When/Where
The exam leading to the achievement of the EGA is convened twice a year, once in February and once in September, to complete the entire process, which consists of three tests, taking an average of four months.
